Starting from next summer BormioSki will present a brand new bike arena on the Vallecetta side. We will make mountain bike trails for every kind of level from 2,600 meters to Bormio town (1,225 m).
Also, in August we have the Peak to Creek race again... but this time it is the summer version!!! From Cima Bianca (3,012 meters) to Bormio (1,225 m) for an incredible race which takes inspiration from the overseas Super Downhills; the Italian version is going to be a fantastic "Hyperdownhill", a real news in the Italian gravity world.
The race trail will not have mandatory passages and anyone who has decent riding skills can do it; you don't need to be a professional rider or owner of a DH bike. The race will have more challenging trails too which can be taken by the pro athletes that love to ride extreme.
Not a Megaavalanche or a Supermountain which have group starting lines and narrow down personal performances; not an Enduro which is very demanding for the climbing part. At the Peak to Creek race starting is in twos and the ranking is individual; the climbing part is easy: BormioSki will let us ride the lifts all the way up to 3000 meters. The arrival is at the Finish Arena of the Alpine Ski World Cup.
"I think that the event will make Bormio enter the national Gravity world focusing on a fast growth, both in turism and in sports competitions, in order to reach those excellent levels which are already characteristic of the local area in the skiing field." - Antonio Silva, coach of the Italian National Downhill-Enduro-4X-Trial Team.
