The seventh edition of "La Pozza dei Mat" will be remembered as the craziest ever.
First the postponement on April 15 due to bad weather conditions than a second delay of a a few hours on April 22 waiting on the snow to cease. Well yes, postponing the event of a week did not change a thing. After seven days everything is unaltered: insane column of mercury (-2 °C) and abundant snowing for a surreal Christmas like atmosphere.
11.45 a.m. we start
And so a little late we start the seventh edition of the pond contest. Everyone was expecting a nice day but the snow keeps falling and the children of the category Normal Picen are really moving in their personal challenge with the freezing water. First position for Sara De Cobelli, then Marco Rini and Marta Ferrero. A big applause to all of the kids for the touching bravery.
For the category Normal Grand on the podium Andrea Ferrero, Michele Canclini and Fabio Pedrazzini; in the Jump category first place for Federico Rodigari in front of Nicolò Cominelli and Giorgia Bertoncini.
1.30 p.m. the sun is back
And then just like magic, the snow flakes disappear and a warm sun comes out and saves the day. The great show of the wagon is on, everybody is laughing and having a good time. Almost thirty wagons are challenging the pond and some are really beautiful. It will not be easy for the jury to decide which one is the best. For the category Mat the winners are "I matoc de Caspoc" (700 €), followed by "I canottieri di Seregno" (500 €) and "La nave corsara" (300 €). The title for the most beautiful wagon goes to "Stanlio e Olio tempo di pic nic" (1,000 €), a wonderful and faithful to the real vintage car. Big time clapping for all the participants for the fantasy and creativity; we've seen three ships "Costa Concordia", the Noah's Ark, the Simpson family, a giant photo camera, a school bus, a race car and many others... some exploded into the water, other stopped before, other crossed the pond. Congratulations everyone!

5.00 p.m. party time
After the pond contest we are all meeting at the apes ski bars BeWhite and 30 m2 for prize giving. On the stage in front of the cableway station the wonderful City Kaos and then the awesome music of the deejay Fabio Caminita and the voice of Stefano Marioni! The party is really crazy and it is the best way to celebrate the end of the season 2011/2012.
9.00 p.m. bonfire
The day is over with a nice bonfire in front of the two bars. Thanks to the Pozza group for this great fest, the last of the season. Thank you guys! And now we'll see you guys on July for another great BormioSki news: Bormio Gravity World.
