March 15, 2012 - Today we officially open the enrolment for "La Pozza dei Mat" which is scheduled for April 15. The event has become a real tradition and it is now at its seventh edition and counts to grow and improve year by year. The end of season party is a "right" for everyone and "la pozza" (the pond) is the best way to celebrate and have fun with your friends and family.
It is possible to sign up at the BormioSki ticket office or at the bar après ski "BeWhite" on the street Battaglion Morbegno 25, Bormio. Last day to sign up is Friday April 13 2012!!!! After this date is no longer possible to subscribe to the event.
Following the available categories:
- Normal Grand: born before 01/01/98; skis and snowboard to cross the pond. Cost € 15,00
- Normal Picen: born after 01/01/98; skis and snowboard to cross the pond which is a little shorter. Cost € 10,00
- Mat: alternative vehicles or wagons to cross the pond. Cost € 10,00
- Jump: born before 01/01/98 jump in the pond with skis or snowboard. Cost € 15,00

- 04.00 p.m. Wet Party - Wet T-shirt contest @ BeWhite & 30 m2
APRIL 15 2012
- 08.30 a.m. get your bib and contest pack in Bormio 2000
- 10.00 a.m. La Pozza dei Mat (we start off with the category Normal Picen, then Grand, Jump and finally the real Mat). The contest will be over at about 1.30 p.m.
- 02.00 p.m. Live Music in Bormio 2000 with "City Kaos" (until 17:30, last ride down from Bormio 2000 in cableway)
- 03.00 p.m. Prize giving Pozza dei Mat in Bormio 2000
- 05.00 p.m. "Feston dei mat" Party @ BeWhite & 30 m2
- 05.30 p.m. Lottery draw "La Pozza dei Mat". The cost of a single ticket is only € 2.50. Find out what you can win here
- 09.00 p.m. Goodbye winter season 2012 - bonfire
To demonstrate our recognition, the sports group "La Pozza dei Mat" has decided to bigger the price money for wagons; for the great effort, devotion and passion the builders of wagons have always shown,we have bettered the price money of the category "Mat" and brought it up to 2,500 €!
BEST WAGON (the most beautiful and tough to build): 1,000 €
3rd wagon to cross the pond 300 €
2nd wagon to cross the pond 500 €
1st wagon to cross the pond 700 €
(The jury will be composed of the "Podestà dei Mat" and the "Compagnia dei Matti")
BormioSki wants to say thank you to the voluntary group "La Pozza dei Mat" which with very little money available but with big sense of friendship gives us every year a very special end of season party. So, see you there and have fun!
