DECEMBER 18, 2015 - BORMIO
MORE AND MORE SKI - The great vertical experience of Bormio Ski is coming closer. With its sensational vertical drop of 1,800 meters, Bormio stands out as the mountain for those who love skiing. The amazing 1,800-m vertical will not be available soon but the skiable area is getting wider every day.
Despite the high temperature and the lack of snowfalls, our snowmakers have been very wise in taking all the small chances to make snow. They have been making a small miracle every day. We are definitely winning the battle against the weather considering the very good condition of the snow.
1,000-M VERTICAL- The Praimont slope officially opened yesterday. This is a fundamental step for the ski area which meant the link between the top part and Bormio 2000. You can finally ski on a 1,000-m vertical drop, from Cima Bianca (3,012 m) to Bormio 2000 (1,950 m). Also, today the skilift Nevada Est and the related slope opened to public.
We currently count 7 lifts open and 16 km of ski slopes.
NEXT OPENINGS - From tomorrow the chairlift Ciuk-Laghetti will be open for uphill/downhill transportation of skiers/pedestrians from Ciuk (1,638 m) to Bormio 2000. The related Genziana slope is currently ready at 70 %; we expect its opening in 5/6 days. To keep updated with all the openings we suggest you to check out daily the Lifts and Slopes page.
