BormioSki has made it this year too. We are proud to announce that our lifts are opening on Saturday November 10, 2012. The last snowfalls we had on high altitude and the efficient work of our snow cannons gave us the chance to anticipate the official opening day of the season (December 1st, 202) giving you the gift of an extra month on the Bormio season pass.
In fact if you own a Bormio season pass you have the opportunity to get on the lifts many weeks before anyone else does in Italy. If you instead own another type of season pass (4 valleys, Alta Valtellina, Lombardia) the price on your pre season ski pass is 20 % off . If you do not own any kind of season pass then it's your time to come in November since the prices are much lower than during the "official" season.
The team of snowmakers reported this afternoon that the slopes from 3000 meters to 2500 and the slope Stella Alpina are 80 % ready. It's a pity for us not to be able to open for this weekend since we have observed a great attention and impatience by all of you who follow us on the website and social networks. Your waiting is only postpone of a week.
The open lifts will be the following: cableway Bormio-Bormio 2000 (Saturday and Sunday), cablecar Bormio 2000-Cima Bianca, chair lift Valbella-3000, chair lift 2000-Pian dei Larici (reserved for trainings) and the training camp Marmotta situated in Bormio 2000. We guarantee ski connections from Bormio 3000 to Conca Valbella (2550 m) and from Piana dei Larici to Bormio 2000 (only for trainings). You will find the connection Valbella-Pian dei Larici through Praimont crossing La Rocca under construction.

The curiosity of the day: for the last few days our snow making system has made snow for 36,000 cubic meters per day! That's equal to 600 camion trucks full of snow. But we are not done!
