DECEMBER 24, 2016 - BORMIO
CHRISTMAS MIRACLE? - High pressure and raised temperatures have never stopped the work of our snowmakers. Taking advantage of the few times in which temperatures have gone below zero, we have been able to make snow on the Genziana slope which will officially be open from tomorrow. You will then be able to reach Ciuk (1,638 m) with your skis on.
Maybe we are not witnessing a classic Christmas miracle but it's good enough considering the current difficult weather situation. Your holidays on the snow are going to be just wonderful with sunny ad warm days.
VERTICAL EXPERIENCE - The vertical drop of the ski area will reach 1,374 meters; we area getting closer and closer to the final goal represented by the fantastic 1,787 meters that make Bormio Ski the great vertical experience: one of the main vertical drops among ski resorts in Europe.
NEXT OPENINGS - More ski runs will be open to public starting from December 26. In Ciuk the training camp for children and beginners will be open. Also, the blue slope Ermellini 2 will be open.
In total, summarizing, we will have 9 lifts open for a total of 20 km of slopes allocated on a nice vertical drop of 1,374 meters. The openings of the training camp Gipeto and the ski run variante Praimont are also coming very soon.
