Time is up, the winter season 2013/2014 of Bormio Ski will officially start from tomorrow, Saturday November 30, 2013 from 8.30 in the morning. The ski fever is growing and we are certain that the BormioSki offer will be able to satisfy every need for snow lovers.
The latest drop of temperatures has given the chance to our snowmakers to turn on the artificial snowmaking system at max speed along the whole vertical drop of the ski area, from Bormio 3000 to town level. If snowfalls have stopped at altitude 2000 meters, our boys haven't had any doubt on whitening the Stelvio slope with snow guns.
The opening weekend will bring good news especially for families which will benefit from the new low cost ticketing. As a fact, the daily ski pass in Bormio will only cost 22,00 Euros. This launch price will be kept up to December 24. For those who will book a minum 4-night stay in hotel or agreed apartment, the ski pass will be free!
As foretold, the ski area of Bormio will be able to open many slopes already, about 60% of the total surface available, and seven lifts versus the total 15. Snow depth has reached 120 cm in Bormio 3000 and about 50 cm in Bormio 2000. The latest good news has arrived into our editorial room only last night: the cablecar Bormio 2000 - Cima Bianca has brilliantly passed all the tests and will open from tomorrow. The "White Peak's lady" will be back with a new look and many technological improvements.
